I know you are creative people - here's a small problem. The clothes dryer in the WSU costume shop has shuffled off its mortal coil, just when GRSF needs it the most 🙁
But WSU Theatre Department can't purchase a new one in time to get them through the next week or two!
Here's the challenge - do any of you have or know of a sturdy electric dryer that GRSF and WSU Theatre could borrow for a couple weeks or purchase very cheaply?
Thank you! - Peggy Sannerud

Mission Statement: To present performances that have a unique connection to the community, with an emphasis on original works that tell stories from the area’s rich history.

Theatre du Mississippi, founded in 1997, is committed to the development and production of high-quality programs in the performing arts, particularly those that address important contemporary or historical issues. It is our aim to integrate artistic excellence and originality with a sense of community in the Winona area and beyond.

It’s TdM’s 20th Birthday Celebration!

As one of the longest continually existing non-profit arts organizations in the region, we are proud to offer original works all written and produced by local artists. We share the Winona area’s rich history with the community and anyone who is part of our community. Through our theater and music programming, we develop new playwrights, actors, musicians and technical people who share their work with the community.

Help us celebrate  by becoming a sponsor!

By doing so, you will be able to take pride in helping an organization that has provided so many opportunities not only to the community to learn about our rich history, but the opportunity for local artists and theatrical technicians to grow and hone their craft. As a non-profit organization, we are grateful to the generosity of our sponsors and volunteers for helping us provide community outreach, education, entertainment and, in particular, dedication to original works. We are located in the Historic Masonic Theatre in the heart of Winona, Minnesota, in the bluff country of the upper Mississippi River Valley. We appreciate the following foundations and institutions for supporting our organization through their generous grants:
  • The Carl and Verna Schmidt Foundation
  • SEMAC - McKnight Emerging Artist Grant, in cooperation with the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council, through funding from the Minnesota State Legislature
'Friends of the Masonic' is a citizens group focused on the preservation and restoration of the Historic Masonic Theatre, its building, and its collection of historic painted scenery.
